Dennis L. Hart, PhD, PT; Director of Consulting and Research Services

Dr. Hart has earned degrees in physical therapy, public administration and industrial engineering. He has extensive business, clinical research and academic experience in orthopedics, industrial rehabilitation, ergonomics, and outcomes management.

Prior to joining FOTO, Dr. Hart directed the outcomes process for Rehability Corporation, one of the founding members of FOTO. He has held academic positions at Quinnipiac College, Medical College of Georgia and West Virginia University.

Dr. Hart continues to be academically active with George Washington University and participates as an article reviewer for Physical Therapy and Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy, and is a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Rehabilitation Outcomes Measurement.

Dr. Hart has published in peer reviewed journals, including Physical Therapy, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Orthopaedics and Related Research, Experimental Neurology. Journal of Orthopaedics and Sports Physical Therapy, as well as contributing chapters in three texts on industrial rehabilitation. Articles and contributions to articles also appear in PT Magazine.

Dr. Hart has extensive experience in the analysis of outcomes data and translating the results into practical applications designed to improve treatment outcomes and build rehabilitation businesses.
