FOTO^® Comments on Functional Screening Under Medicare.

The MMA passed by Congress and signed by president Bush in December 2003, included Section 611 adopting a new benefit, an initial preventive physical exam, for new Medicare beneficiaries. As proposed, this "Welcome to Medicare exam" would include physical and functional screening. When CMS published a proposed rule asking for comments on implementation of this new benefit, FOTO^® submitted a detailed written response.
