Data Analytics meets FOTO: A Great Relationship #OC2018

A relationship with data? Wondering how that can be? FOTO's Outcomes Conference held in Denver, Colorado from September 27th - September 29th provides insight on all aspects involving outcomes data. This is one session focused on incorporating FOTO data into a business intelligence system.

What happens when you merge FOTO's real-time outcomes data with your organization's financial data? Well, Steve Gonser and Jeffrey Woodrich have done just that. Through the merging of the two sets of data, they have the ability for more powerful data mining.

Their data doesn't sit within a platform for months on end. Steve and Jeff combined both functional status data and financial data into a business intelligence system. The information within their business platform is readily available for team members within their organization. By combining all case information, those within the organization are able to readily know best practice information. The inclusion of financial information about cost of care allows for better discussions with patients, physicians and payers. The immediate data has been beneficial for payers with payment models.

In the event this conference is new to you, here are the thoughts from an attendee from last year's conference:

The opportunity to meet new and experienced FOTO users and learn from others. FOTO does a great job for the attendees with food and services.

The content of the conference revolves around outcomes: sharing the science,  helping with implementation, understanding data, using the data clinically, increasing patient engagement, marketing and discussing payer contracts focused on value based purchasing.
