Last week, I shared Mark Werneke's perspective on using FOTO data to assist with managing patients.
Today, I'd like to introduce Jody Swearingen the Manager of Clinical Information Technology for Results Physiotherapy. Results Physiotherapy far surpassed implementation of FOTO; Results Physiotherapy succeeds in delivering excellent care.
Jody's session will focus on what it takes to successfully implement a system that focuses on value over volume. Results Physiotherapy started with zero locations using FOTO and is now using FOTO at almost 100 location. Talk about robustly implementing a new system!
A couple of points that Jody will discuss:
Jody expressed to me, "You have to get buy-in to get therapists on board with the changes occurring in the health care world. Use outcomes can drive the patient experience." Jody indicated that he views his role as being a leader in creating change. The change he mentioned was on three levels: change for patients, change for clinicians and change in health care.
I can't imagine what it took to implement using FOTO at 100 locations. Jody's session should help you navigate through roadblocks to achieve the same implementation success.
The conference is in Knoxville, TN from April 15th - 17th, 2016. The Dogwood Festival is concurrently happening in Knoxville. This means the hotel will fill up quickly. Definitely reserve your room now.
Until next time,
