Thursday Top 5 During #PPS2018

The Private Practice Section of the American Physical Therapy Association is holding its annual conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It isn't too late to register! The conference is scheduled from November 7-10. I spent some time reviewing the sessions. I'll highlight the top picks that I think will be favorites for leaders with an outcomes focus.

colorado-springsConferences excite me because of two opportunities: the ability to spend time with colleagues and the educational component to learn from so many others who are smarter than myself. Although I will not be in attendance this year, it appears that I will miss seeing some of my favorite colleagues sharing what they do best. This year looks interesting with the addition of Buzz Sessions and Solution Rooms. The beauty of these two new offerings allows for so much more engaging participant discussions. Many of the sessions interested me. For this particular post, I focused on Thursday sessions. My top 5 picks are shown in the video below.

Thursday PPS2018 Top 5

As you can see, I chose sessions with topics on a wide range of things such as: engaging your clinicians (because engaged clinicians = engaged patients), harnessing the energy of your loyal patients (because FOTO has the Net Promoter Score available to you), hearing from an international panel of practice owners (because sometimes we are too close to a topic to gain a new perspective), payment issues (because some of the upcoming payment models are incorporating outcomes), and highlighting Larry Benz's session (because he always delivers and what he has to share will challenge you to think about your business practice).

If you are interested in the detailed conference schedule, you can find it here. The FOTO Team will be at booth 601. Stop by and say hi! The team loves catching up with those of you who use FOTO. The team also loves sharing all they know about functional outcomes: patient reported outcome measures, risk adjustment, predictive analytics, and marketing outcomes. Besides conversing, they also enjoy giving demonstrations about FOTO's product.

Later this week I will be sharing my top 5 picks for Friday!

Until next time,
~Selena
